HITRAN-PC

HITRAN-PC is Ontar's
Windows™ version of HITRAN (1996 version).
The HITRAN database is recognized as the
international standard compilation of spectroscopic
parameters for atmospheric gases. It covers
over 1,000,000 absorption lines for 37 molecules
with a wave number resolution of 0.001 cm-1.
HITRAN-PC contains HAWKS, a module that
allows you to make stick plots of the line
intensities versus wave number.
HITRAN-PC provides atmospheric transmission
only. By comparison, PcLnWin provides transmission,
radiance, weather conditions, and naturally
occurring aerosols. If only transmission
is required, the less expensive HITRAN-PC
is ideal.
The NIST/EPA Database contains spectroscopic
data of over 5,000 organic compounds. High
temperature profiles of CO2, CO and H2O
are provided in the HITEMP Database.
